On March 15 and 16, 2022, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants held its annual Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference. The event was held virtually this year and the conference planning committee was again chaired by Hemming Morse partner Christian Tregillis. Sessions included Lessons of a Federal Agent, Fraud Investigation Reporting, How to Prevent and Detect Financial Crime, Investigating Cryptocurrency Fraud, and Merger Acquisition Disputes and Damages, among others. In addition to Mr. Tregillis, speakers included Hemming Morse’s Lynn Turner, former chief accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
