Claudia Stern is a principal in Hemming Morse’s San Francisco office. Adept at communicating complex economic issues, her expertise is in the preparation of business valuations, forensic accountings and economic damages matters throughout a wide range of industries. She has testified as an expert on these matters in both state and federal court.
Claudia’s valuation experience includes dissenting shareholder and partner actions, mergers and acquisitions, family law, and estate and gift matters. She teaches valuation related courses for the California Society of CPA’s Educational Foundation, as well Golden Gate University, and has also written articles and book chapters on valuation.
Claudia’s forensic accounting and economic damages engagements have included breach of contract claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, fraud, bankruptcy, trust accounting, alter ego and malpractice actions. Prior to joining Hemming Morse, Claudia was a manager in the consulting division of Burr, Pilger, Mayer, Inc., a full-service accounting firm in San Francisco.
