Mr. Klein is a partner in Hemming Morse’s Los Angeles office. With more than 16 years of consulting experience, he provides clients with financial advisory services related to forensic accounting investigations, damages consultation, valuation services, and bankruptcy matters.
With engagements spanning a diverse set of industries, Mr. Klein consults on matters involving allegations of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, tortious interference, patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and false advertising. Additionally, he has worked on matters involving wage and hour employment claims, complex accounting, valuation issues, and M&A purchase price disputes. He has testified as an expert witness in federal court, submitted expert reports related to allegations brought in state court, and been retained to provide analysis for use in mediation.
Mr. Klein has been a member of the Forensic & Litigation Services Damages Task Force for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), co-authoring two practice aids published by the task force. In addition, Mr. Klein has presented on damages topics to attorneys and accountants and has also lectured on such topics in the classroom. Mr. Klein’s prior experience includes working at other professional services firms in the Los Angeles area, including LECG, Kroll Zolfo Cooper, and Deloitte & Touche.
