Lori Smolinski is a Manager in the Burlingame office of the Forensic and Financial Consulting Services Group at Hemming Morse. Lori’s extensive experience spans a variety of areas, including fraud audit and investigations, SEC and GAAP compliance, economic damage and valuation due diligence. She brings over four years of dedicated accounting and valuation expertise in litigation and auditing sectors along with over 25 years of financial executive experience in household management, corporate finance and property oversight, known for growing Benefit Cosmetics from $9M to $100M, implementing financial systems, and achieving significant cost reductions, while expanding the business into Australia, Europe and Japan.

Throughout her career, Lori has worked on matters including both SEC financial reporting requirements and investigations, economic damages, company valuations, and spearheading the financial departments of several private companies as Controller and CFO. Her experience spans multiple industries, such as consumer products, manufacturing and distribution, technology, construction financing, and property management. Lori is a Certified Public Accountant in California.
