Susan Thompson is a partner at Hemming Morse with more than 35 years of experience in auditing and litigation services. In this role she provides analyses of financial, accounting, and economic issues primarily relating to disputes and financial investigations. Her litigation accounting experience includes analyses of disputes arising in business litigation, professional liability litigation, white-collar crime, investigations of property and casualty insurance fraud claims, fraud investigation, and money laundering. Her work for clients across a variety of industries extends to many areas of the litigation process, including discovery requests, estimation of damages, preparation of trial exhibits, the presentation at trial of complex matters and presentation at appraisals and mediations. Susan is also experienced in internal control reviews and has served as an umpire in an insurance company appraisal.
Prior to joining Hemming Morse, Susan worked with both a “Big Four” and a regional CPA firm, auditing commercial and not-for-profit entities in diverse industries, including real estate, agriculture, healthcare and high-technology manufacturing. She also served as an interim controller for a regional airline. Susan has testified in deposition and trial in both state and federal court as an expert witness.
